These courses are commissioned by Professional Development Leicester (PDL) and free of charge for Leicester City maintained primary schools. Non-maintained and Leicestershire schools are very welcome to participate, but a full charge will apply.

Overview
This workshop supports in enhancing your understanding of ADHD, exploring practical strategies, and how to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with ADHD to thrive. You will explore executive functioning skills, emotional regulation, as well as barriers that children and young people with ADHD face.

Overview
This workshop supports an increased understanding and ability to manage behaviours that challenge. You will explore the possible causes for challenging behaviour and how to understand behaviour as a form of communication. The workshop aims to explore differentiated strategies to help build relationships, de-escalation techniques and the impact of teacher language on children and their behaviour.

Overview
We will look at identifying and understanding autism. Then you will explore how to support pupils with autism in the classroom. This will include why and how to complete a one page profile, the use of resources to support and make learning accessible and other practical strategies.
