The Leicester Primary Partnership (LPP)
The Leicester Primary Partnership (LPP) is a not-for-profit limited company. All state-funded Leicester primary schools can become members of the Partnership through subscription and all currently choose to do so.
The overarching aim of LPP is to support effective collaboration between Primary schools to support a collective responsibility for all the outcomes of primary children of Leicester City.
The partnership takes a lead on Primary School Improvement projects at City and Development Group (Cluster) level and works closely with other partners to promote effective provision and transition across the different phases of education.
How we support members
LPP provides a highly-valued weekly bulletin which not only provides current pertinent information but promotes collaboration through sharing member-provided opportunities.
The Strategic Lead, Liz Warren, uses her experience in three headships to support member schools in a range of ways from leading LPP activity and liaising with key partners around strategic matters, to offering practical advice and signposting on a range of issues.
LPP provides a comprehensive and robust peer review school improvement offer, School Improvement Leicester. This is available to members through a further subscription.
LPP also leads on some of the projects funded through de-delegation, ensuring that any provision free to LA schools is also available to Academies at cost.
Main activities during the year
- LPP provides two meetings a term, the dates of which are in the weekly bulletin. Agendas are set close to meeting dates to ensure they address the issues most relevant to Heads at the time.
- LPP coordinates representation on a variety of strategic groups, including those for Admissions, Fair Access, School Forum and SEND.
- LPP supports and coordinates Development Group meetings, which are neighbourhood meetings for heads and take place twice a term.
- LPP is a member organisation in the Leicester Education Strategic Partnership (LESP).
